KEY RESPONSIBILITY: Under the direct supervision of a higher-level employee. This employee performs a variety of tasks in the maintenance, repair or operation of various operations. The tasks require a certain amount of acquired skill, often dealing with mechanical equipment. The skill involved is not parallel to that of the standard trades, and there is no formal or usual learning period as an apprentice or helper.
DUTIES AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Working knowledge & demonstrate skills regarding simple math, reading & writing English.
· Operate electrical/air-powered hand tools within manufacturer’s regulation guidelines.
· Maintain all hand tools in clean condition.
· Notify Superintendent/Foreman of electrical/air-powered operability issues.
· Perform all additional duties that may be assigned.
· Pre-employment background check, physical and drug-screen are required.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF TOOLS & POLICIES:
Each employee is required to provide their own set of hand tools, belts, tool bags, hard hat, safety vests, steel toed boots, rubber boots, proper gloves and other personal tools needed to perform daily tasks as required. The Company will provide all power tools and personal safety gear (PPE).
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Be able to function with uncontrolled environmental conditions (weather change and job site conditions).
· Be able to lift up to 75lbs, routinely 50lbs.
· Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and reaching to perform everyday job tasks.
· Ability to work different shifts, long hours (8-12 hours) and weekends as needed.
· Must have good vision, stamina, and good hand/eye coordination.
