About Us

BLOX is the nation's largest manufacturer of healthcare facilities, headquartered on a 50-acre campus in Bessemer, Alabama, just outside Birmingham. Founded in 2010 as an offshoot of Giattina Aycock Architecture Studio, BLOX pioneered the Design-Manufacture-Construct (DMC) methodology — an approach that moves complex building components, from patient rooms and exam rooms to full MEP systems, out of the traditional job site and into a controlled manufacturing environment. Operating out of a converted million-square-foot former railcar plant, BLOX's production lines build these components to spec, then ship and assemble them on-site, cutting construction timelines and improving quality for hospitals and other acute-care facilities across the country. It's a rare blend of architecture, manufacturing, and construction under one roof, reshaping how the industry delivers some of its most demanding projects.
