Position Description:
Comfort Systems USA Mid South is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and strengthen our safety culture across construction, service, and fabrication operations. This role is responsible for driving safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with operational leaders to create a safe and productive work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the company's safety programs and initiatives across multiple locations and job sites.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Conduct jobsite audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Partner with project teams and field leadership to proactively address safety concerns.
• Maintain safety records, reporting, and compliance documentation.
• Track and communicate safety performance metrics to leadership.
• Support workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, and regulatory audits.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of safety experience in construction, mechanical contracting, industrial, or related environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
• Experience conducting safety audits, training, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
• OSHA 500, CHST, CSP, OHST, or similar safety certifications.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
