3+ Years of Commercial Carpentry Experience Preferred
CG Jones Construction is a growing commercial general contractor specializing in site development, commercial building construction, underground utilities, and concrete construction. Our projects are primarily located throughout Northwest Alabama, with an expanding presence in Northeast Mississippi and Southern Tennessee.
We're seeking skilled Commercial Carpenters who take pride in their craftsmanship and enjoy building quality commercial projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and able to work effectively as part of a team while producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of commercial carpentry tasks on active construction projects
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Construct and strip concrete formwork
- Perform rough carpentry, framing, blocking, and finish carpentry
- Install doors, hardware, trim, and miscellaneous carpentry items
- Assist with layout and field measurements
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work closely with foremen, superintendents, and other trades to complete projects on schedule
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial carpentry experience preferred
- Experience with concrete formwork, framing, and commercial construction techniques
- Ability to read a tape measure and use common carpentry tools
- Ability to read construction drawings is preferred
- Strong work ethic with dependable attendance
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
