Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance for commercial and industrial clients.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems and determine the most effective course of action for repair.
Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
Replace or repair faulty electrical components such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, and motors.
Install and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, and electrical panels.
Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure proper installation and repair.
Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including time, materials, and any necessary permits.
Comply with all safety regulations and codes, including the National Electric Code (NEC).
Communicate effectively with clients and co-workers to ensure job requirements are understood and met.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in electrical technology and industry standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels in commercial and industrial settings.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems.
Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC) and other relevant safety regulations and codes.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and co-workers.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
