Job Summary: As a Journeyman Electrician at InLine, LLC, you will perform crucial installations, servicing, and repairs both on-site and in-house. This role encompasses a broad range of tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment and systems, installing various components, and undertaking upgrades and modifications. You will also engage in programming and thorough documentation of processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical components of transportation systems, such as Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic signals, and roadway lighting systems.
Handle the installation of electrical and data conductors, conduits, pull boxes, poles, foundations, and necessary system grounding and surge protection.
Provide training and technical support to junior electricians, acting in a supervisory capacity as required.
Promptly respond to maintenance requests and restore equipment to operational status efficiently.
Complete detailed reports, maintain logs, and ensure effective communication across shifts following company policies and local practices.
Collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex or intermittent technical issues.
Conduct field tests on units and components to ensure functionality and safety standards are met.
Required Skills and Experience:
An Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a relevant combination of training and work experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
Must hold a Journeyman Electrician Certification/Card or higher.
IMSA Level II Traffic Signal Technician certification is highly desirable.
Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply information from safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Proficient in writing routine reports and engaging in effective communication.
Effective verbal communication skills, capable of addressing groups of customers or team members.
Valid driver’s license required, with the ability to obtain a CDL Class A or B license.
Schedule:
8-hour shift, Monday to Friday

Compensation:
$26.00 - $40.00 per hour
Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel as needed.
Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime.
Physical ability to stand, sit, and use hands extensively. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and handle demanding physical activity.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Must meet specific vision requirements including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and adjustment focus.
Frequently work in environments with moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, moving traffic, and occasionally high, precarious places. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock risks may occur.
Comfort working in confined spaces.
