The Apprentice Electrician should have sufficient knowledge of mathematics, familiar with the tools and materials used in the commercial and industrial electrical industry and have skills in logic and reasoning. Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial electrical industry.
The Journeyman Electrician must be skilled in the installation and troubleshooting of lighting systems, power distribution systems up to 5kV, electrical grounding and bonding, special systems such as lightning protection systems, fire alarm and mass notification systems, and underground electrical systems. The candidate must perform under minimal supervision all aspects of installation, alteration, demolition, maintenance and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, assemblies, and associated materials and equipment on all type of projects within the electrical construction industry in both commercial and industrial environments.
