Work is in Montgomery area. Journeyman scale is $28/hr on check with insurance and retirement paid for by contractor. Apprentice scale is starts at minimum $19.60/hr with benefits paid by contractor as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of a Framer/Hanger are all geared toward constructing building structures and installing components on a construction site while also supporting the overall project. The list of duties and responsibilities for a Framer/Hanger on any given day may include the following: 

·    Framing Walls with metal studs, hanging drywall (10'-12' boards), installing acoustical ceilings

·    Installs window frames, and door frames using a carpenter’s hand tools and power tools.

·    Work off scissor lift for elevated work

·    Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.

·    Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.

·    Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment..

·    Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.

·    Cleans up worksite debris.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·    Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers.

·    Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.

·    Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety.

·    Must be E-verifiable and be able to pass drug tests. 

·    Experience in metal stud framing and/or drywall hanging is a plus; apprenticeship training is available for those not at Journeyworker level experience.

·    Ability to comprehend blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications.

·    Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to participate in a company specific safety orientation.

 OSHA 10 Construction required.  If you do not have it, training classes will be available
