Role Overview
Marathon Electrical Contractors is seeking a tech-savvy (Technical Access Control Specialist) for our active construction site in Hope Hull, AL. This role serves as the digital gatekeeper of our project, responsible for managing site security through rigorous badge verification and digital logging. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient with Apple iOS devices to manage our access software and communication tools.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Badge Verification: Utilize Apple iPads/iPhones to scan employee badges and verify subcontractor authorizations for site entry.
Tech Management: Maintain and troubleshoot basic iOS connectivity to ensure all mobile scanning hardware is functional throughout the 12-hour shift.
Site Security & Gatekeeping: Manage the main entrance and perimeter to ensure only authorized personnel and vehicles enter restricted work zones.
Digital Manifests: Maintain precise, real-time electronic logs of all entries and exits for safety, payroll, and compliance reporting.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all individuals are wearing required PPE (Hard hats, high-visibility vests, etc.) before granting access to the site.
Qualifications & Skills
Apple iOS Proficiency: Must be well-versed in the Apple ecosystem (iPad/iPhone) and comfortable navigating mobile applications and settings.
Extreme Reliability: A "no-fail" attendance record is mandatory. The project cannot move forward safely without active access control.
Environmental Resilience: Comfort working outdoors on an active construction site for 12-hour shifts in various Alabama weather conditions.
Professional Communication: Ability to remain firm, professional, and authoritative when interacting with a large, fast-moving workforce.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or sit for the etended peroids of time.
Ability to work in an outdoor construction environment (exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures).
