Ironwork Installation Technician
Old Mill Iron is seeking an installation technician / Welder. We specialize in custom ornamental iron installation including: Driveway Gates, Driveway Gate operators, Hand and Stair Rails, Garden gates and Iron and Aluminum Fencing. Welding Certification is a plus. Installations local and some out of area.
Previous construction/ installation, and customer service experience a plus. Welding is not necessary but basic welding skills are beneficial.
Duties Include:
- Able to lift 50 – 75 pounds
- Must have working knowledge of tools and equipment
- Must be able to follow directions and be a team player
- Must know how to operate machinery
- Know how to read and interpret blueprints
- Complete projects on time and correctly, while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with employees and management
- Reports directly to installation manager
Skills Required:
- A valid Driver’s license and good driving record, CDL is a plus.
- Able to operate a forklift a plus
- Work in a hot environment
- Must be able to Multi-Task and excellent organizational skills
- Must pay attention to detail
- Punctuality and Reliability is a must for this position.
- Must be able to measure accurately And read a tape measure.
Benefits: vacation accrued, holiday pay-5 days a year.
Job Type: Full Time (40 Hours)
Schedule: Monday Through Friday 8 hour shifts with occasional overtime as needed
Candidate MUST be able to pass a drug test during company random testing.
