Position Summary
Comfort Systems USA – Mid South is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC VRV/VRF Service Technician to support the service, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of advanced variable refrigerant volume/flow systems in commercial environments. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while delivering high‑quality customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial VRV/VRF HVAC systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective service on VRV/VRF equipment and related components
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, controls, airflow, and communication faults
- Utilize manufacturer‑specific software, diagnostic tools, and test equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
- Document service activities, repairs, and recommendations accurately
- Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and internal teams
- Maintain compliance with all safety procedures, EPA regulations, and company policies
- Support system startups, system optimization, and performance verification
- Represent Comfort Systems USA – Mid South with professionalism and integrity at all job sites
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Demonstrated experience working on VRV/VRF systems (Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Samsung, or similar)
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturer or factory VRV/VRF training or certifications
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS)
- NATE certification or equivalent
- Experience servicing large commercial or industrial facilities
